The long waiting for Euroglide 2004 has begun. In the spring of 2003,
the first preparations for Euroglide 2004 will start. During wintertime, the route
of Euroglide 2004 is already discussed at the bars of clubhouses, and also via email.
Peter Teunisse (ET), for example, suggests to plan a double 1000 km triangle that trails along the best
thermal areas of middle Europe.
With the weather of the past Euroglide the first round may be flown in one day!
Also, check out his (and ET's) story (English)
of Euroglide 2002 that has been published today.

About 23 teams attended the prize giving on 5 october at the
clubhouse of the Eindoven Aero Club. Many participants were accompanied by
their partners. The results of the inquiry were presented and of each day,
flight-animations were shown using the log-files.
Prizes were presented not only to the winners, but also to two very unlucky
teams that showed perseverance to overcome their problems. YZ because of his
unfortunate oulanding after 29,7 km (see his story) and the DX for their way
of coping with equipment failure.
New stories: YZ (German) and
D2 (English)

Version 0.5 of the Euroglide rules published.
Changes to version 0.4 are very minor and concern
the wording of the paragraph on multiple contest-flight for motor-gliders only.
This will be the last update of the Journal before the race begins.
During the race, the site will be updated daily. Check the Status Reports, to find out who's leading,
how the teams are doing and what their latest position is.

List of participating teams published.
The organisation arranged a few rooms on the airbase for the night.
Please contact us as soon as possible if you want to use one.
In case we receive more requests than there are rooms, the teams living the furthest from Eindhoven
have priority.
May 30, 2002
28 teams counted!
The English and the Dutch version of the contest rules (version 0.4) are ready.
We expect this to be the final version. See the
rules page.
Having Keiheuvel as finish did not turn out to be such a good idea. We were very welcome to finish there,
but the approach to Keiheuvel would be to much in the proximity of Eindhoven CTR.
Therefore, arrangements are being made to finish on Venlo, a gliderfield 55 km East of Eindhoven.
April 30, 2002
We expect 26 teams to participate!
The second draft of the Euroglide 2002 contest rules are published on the
rules page. After a last internal review, the final
version will be available soon.No major changes are anticipated.
Unfortunately, we'll not be allowed to finish on Eindhoven Airport. As an alternate destination,
the friendly airfield "Keiheuvel" in Belgium has been selected. Its location is about 30 km
South-West of Eindhoven.
February 26, 2002
We already received 25 registrations of which 15 are definite!
